Stolen from a couple other journals...

I want to know what, if anything, you think of me. Comments aren't screened and they can be anonymous if you want. A lot of people have come and gone over the years and this might help me to better understand why. I'm sure I've pissed off a lot of people for a lot of different reasons. And on the flip side, I tend to take some things to heart more than I should. I'm not sure I can help/change either of those things, and not sure I ought to try.

I would love to spend time in other countries, but don't have the time. I can usually only get away for a weekend which keeps me domestic.

The more I know you, the more I realize that you are more mature and wiser than others of your age. I envy how much potential for greater accomplishments you have within you! And you can accomplish this even WITHOUT your stunning good looks (but it ain't hurtin' none, either).

I think you are one of the most HUman people here on LJ. by that i mean you always show emotion or wear your heart on your sleave. i think you are handsome of course but more so i think you're beauty lies within how much of a sweet soul you have. i admire you and i am glad to be your friend. Marc

I really appreciate how open, honest and spontaneous you are in your life and I definitely envy your lifestyle. Almost every Monday I read about what a great weekend you've had, traveling, hanging out with your friends...while I've spent my locked up in my room in the ghetto Pomona. But I can't complain. I enjoy the bitter-sweet feeling of living vicariously through your fun weekends.

Also, the fact that you are in a stable relationship gives you extra points in my book. I'm not sure about what the exact monogamy status of it is but even if you guys aren't completely exclusive, the fact that you're building a life together and are working through your problems instead of quitting makes you very impressive in my book because I know how hard relationships can be at times.

And hotness's wise...to me you are literally the second hottest guy I have ever seen. After Paul Rudd. :)

Thanks for your words. Dustin and I do have a very strong relationship. I think we've lasted as long as we have because he's a very strong person. We are completely monogamous and exclusive to each other.

I think it is awesome that you guys are exclusive. I have about 6 ot 7 people on my friends list that have been in relationship for a while but only one of them is monogamous. You and Dustin are couple #2.

I don't normally respond to these things when from people I don't know in person, mainly because I don't know them well enough to form much of an opinion. I have a few obligatory journals that I kinda breeze through, but I seem to always read yours.

Having said that, I think it's because you come across as a level-headed, sane, kind, and engaged person who is seemingly much more mature to the world than many of my LJ friends. Something, whether it's your diction, what you choose to talk about, or a combination of the things I have already mentioned, keeps me genuinely interested in what you write, and interested to know how your life is moving about. You're a nice guy, basically, and you're not full of BS =D

yours is one of the few comments i feel is genuine. given that most of these people don't know the author in person, their comments are unusual. as i read through most of them, i thought, do these people even know him outside of LJ. i guess i just wouldn't say such things unless i knew the person in real life.

I'd love to come to one of the meetups, but they tend to always fall on a day when something is going on. I'm also very shy, so the idea of being around a group of people I don't know freaks me out.

I intentionally did not look at the other ocmments on the page before writing this. I just joined the others in watching your page. I'm a agy man living with my family in Albuquerque, NM; and I love men. I saw your profile and saw you were kind, intelligent, and literate. I realized i couold stand watching you for days.

I wondered what you were like.

I wondered what you did after work.

I wondered what pissed you off enough to make you stay home from work - and conversly, what amazed and filled you with joy to such an extent that a day at work would be unthinkable.

As an outsider looking in, I must admit that what got me first is the pictures of you and your obscenely hot friends all over the world.

You seem to be very kind and try to think things through like alogical person. I think that at times you thihnk to hard about things and it throws you a bit off yor normal course, but you know how to admit to your mistakes, which is one of the strongest qualities a person can have.

Well, I'm a little late to the party, but oh well. I just wish I could meet you in person already! All I really know about you has been gained from talking to you online, and then from talking to Dustin and Tess. I've experienced your shyness firsthand from that VERY brief conversation we had on the phone. You described it as "awkward," but it did not seem awkward to me at all. Having said all of that, it seems that you are one of the nicest people I know. We get along well enough over the Internet, but I'll bet we would be good friends if we lived closer to each other.

By the way, Dustin gets really jealous when I say more than two sentences to you, so please don't tell him about this. (j/k) :)
