I am relieved to know that you and your family weathered the storm unscathed.

I have a co-worker whose son started college at a prep school there in Houston. He didn't have a cell phone on him until a day and a half prior to the storm hitting and was calling his mom begging to return to L.A. - baby's first hurricane.

He weathered the storm with other classmates, but the bulk of his basketball teammates fled elsewhere as many as them were witnessses of Katrina and their parents didn't want to even risk.

Co-worker's son came back two days after Ike hit, a little frayed and hungry. My co-worker was a wreck going into the hole thing, knowing she could not have any contact with him for days if cell service went down.

Sorry for the long rant. Again, glad you and Dustin and family are all okay. :)
